How Did Hazrat Muhammad See Allah on the Night of Meraj: The Mystery of the Seven-Heaven Journey

Imagine traveling millions of miles in just a few seconds or minutes. How could such a journey happen? Einstein’s theory helps us understand that if someone could travel at the speed of light, time would stop for them. This idea helps explain the miraculous event of Shab-e-Meraj experienced by Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

There was a year in Prophet Muhammad’s (PBUH) life filled with sadness. He lost his beloved wife Khadija and his supportive uncle Abu Talib. Additionally, those who believed in his message faced harsh persecution. During this difficult time, one night, a great miracle turned his sorrow into light.

While Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was resting, the angel Jibreel (PBUH) came to him. The angel opened the Prophet’s chest, took out his heart, and washed it with the water of Zamzam before putting it back. Then, Jibreel (PBUH) invited the Prophet on a special journey. They first traveled to Masjid-e-Aqsa on a divine steed. From there, they ascended through the heavens.

Human exploration of the universe is limited; we have only explored a small part with our telescopes. However, Islam provides knowledge about the unseen parts of the universe. During Shab-e-Meraj, Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was shown the secrets of the seven heavens.

In each heaven, the Prophet met angels and prophets. In the first heaven, he met Adam (PBUH) and saw countless angels. In the second heaven, he met Prophets Yahya (John the Baptist) and Isa (Jesus) (PBUH). In the third heaven, he saw the angel of death and a tree that represents life and death.

In the following heavens, he met more prophets, including Joseph, Idris, Noah, Haroon (Aaron), and Musa (Moses) (PBUH). Each heaven had its own unique sights and divine encounters. In the seventh heaven, the Prophet saw the greatest angels and many wonders.

At a place called Sidrat-ul-Muntaha, the knowledge of creation ends, and the realm of the unseen begins. Here, the Prophet entered paradise, where unimaginable blessings awaited. He also saw the angel Israfil (PBUH), who will blow the trumpet on the Day of Judgment, and met Prophet Ibrahim (PBUH) surrounded by children.

The journey reached its peak when the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) ascended alone beyond Sidrat-ul-Muntaha, experiencing the divine presence and receiving the gift of the five daily prayers. After this, he returned to his bed, finding it unchanged, as if no time had passed.

This journey’s speed, possibly over 558,000 miles per second, aligns with Einstein’s theory, suggesting that at such speeds, time would stop. Though these events are miraculous and beyond human reasoning, they highlight the extraordinary nature of divine miracles.

The story of Shab-e-Meraj shows the connection between faith and modern science, demonstrating the incredible nature of prophetic miracles.
