Big BREAKING: NASA Discovers Earth’s Twin Planet

Callisto’s Hidden Ocean

Callisto, one of Jupiter’s moons, has an ocean hidden beneath its icy surface. Scientists discovered that there are 24 planets called exoplanets, and two of them are considered “super-habitable,” meaning they are even better for life than Earth. But despite its potential, many people overlook Callisto. It’s the second-largest moon of Jupiter, and the white areas on it are snow. At first, scientists thought it was just a dead, rocky place in the solar system, but in the 1990s, they found evidence of a huge ocean underneath its ice. This ocean might be used to create rocket fuel in the future. Callisto also has an atmosphere, and scientists believe that if we could block the radiation from Jupiter, humans could breathe there.

Superhabitable Planets

Currently, Earth is the only known planet with life, but some planets out there might be better for life than our own. In 2020, astrobiologists launched a mission to find planets better than Earth, and they found 24 of them! These planets are called “super-habitable.” To find these planets, scientists measured the distance between the planets and their stars to see if they were in the “habitable zone”—the perfect spot for life. They also looked at planet size, mass, and temperature to see if they could support life.

One of the planets they found is called Lutein B, discovered in 2017. It has water, hydrocarbons, and amino acids, which are important for life. It’s so well-suited for life that some people think it could be home to aliens. Another planet with potential is in the Trappist-1 system, which is 39 light-years away from Earth. It has seven Earth-like planets orbiting its star, three of which are in the habitable zone. These planets are older than Earth, which means life there could be more advanced.

Life on Exoplanets

In the Trappist-1 system, the planets are close to each other. If you stood on one planet, you could see the others in the sky. Two planets in the system—TOI-700D and TOI-700E—are similar in size to Earth, and their temperatures might be slightly higher, making them ideal for life.

Another interesting planet is Kepler 452b, which is 1,800 light-years away. It has liquid water, but its gravity is much stronger than Earth’s, making it hard for humans to live there. But there could be flying creatures, like huge stingrays, living there because of its thick atmosphere.

Gliese 667 cc is another exoplanet located 24 light-years away. It’s locked in place, with one side always facing its star (hot), and the other side always facing away (cold). There could be a “twilight zone” where life can survive between the two extremes.

Titan’s Potential for Life

Titan, Saturn’s moon, might also have life. Scientists have detected water, hydrogen, methane, and nitrogen cycles there, which are key to supporting life. Titan has an atmosphere similar to Earth’s, and some believe there could be life forms that live off methane instead of oxygen. Titan might even be a better choice than Mars for human colonization because it has more water and a protective atmosphere.
